En 1998 obtuvo el grado de Ingeniero en Electrónica en la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), México, en 2000 el grado de Maestro en Ciencias y en 2006 el grado de Doctor en Ciencias en el CINVESTAV-IPN. Realizó dos estancias posdoctorales en el área de redes P2P y redes inalámbricas de sensores en el INRIA Rennes, Francia. Actualmente es profesor investigador del Centro de Investigación en Computación y es profesor invitado del programa de Maestría en Tecnologías Avanzadas de UPIITA-IPN. Miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores desde 2007.
Received the B.Sc. degree from the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM), Mexico in 1998 and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from CINVESTAV-IPN in 2000 and 2006 respectively. Since 2002, he has been a professor at the Computing Research Center (CIC-IPN) of the National Polytechnic Institute. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dionysos research project in INRIA (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique), Rennes, France from 2007–2010 His research interests include random access protocols and data transmission in cellular, P2P, and wireless sensor networks.
